About Marta Cordell, ND

I am a Doctor of Naturopathy with over 10 years of clinical experience in helping my clients improve their wellness through diet and lifestyle change.  My background as a Certified Health and Nutrition Coach, as well as a Nutritional Consultant has given me even deeper experience in helping my clients navigate what can often be a challenging process of incremental improvement over time.   I also hold certifications in Aromatherapy and Herbal Therapy, which allow me to help my clients tap into the deep healing that the plant kingdom has to offer us.

In addition, I hold a certification in Thought Field Therapy (TFT) at the Diagnostic level, which allows me to help my clients address issues with mental and emotional traumas, as well as physical pain and dysfunction via a simple, painless process. Click HERE for more information on TFT.

In addition to working with my clients on a physical, mental and emotional level, I am an ordained Inter-Faith Minister, and capable of spiritual counseling for all faiths, should my clients desire.

Natural, holistic wellness is my lifelong passion, and I began studying natural wellness modalities over 35 years ago.  My studies continue today, as I am always seeking new ways to help my clients reach their optimal wellness!

What is a Naturopath?

There has been much confusion about the terminologies used in the field of natural medicine, and many different terms can apply to this field. A Naturopathic practitioner uses natural methodologies, such as nutrition, good lifestyle practices, supplementation (vitamins, minerals, herbs, etc.) and therapies like aromatherapy and massage, rather than prescription or over the counter pharmaceuticals to help clients improve their health. A functional practitioner looks for the root cause of symptoms or groups of symptoms, and a holistic practitioner works with the client on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels.

In my practice, I employ all of these principles to help my clients find their path to optimal health.

Why work with me?

My approach to your health is probably a little different from other practitioners you’ve worked with. My clients are whole people, not just parts, and every part affects the others. This includes not only the physical parts, but also all of the mental, emotional and spiritual parts that make up the whole person.

I recognize you as sovereign over your body, so rather than telling you what to do, I will educate you in how your body is working, and what may be contributing factors, and then work with you to find solutions that fit you best. In our work together, nothing is more important than your observations and intuition, and having someone who truly listens to you can make all the difference.

It’s important to understand that I don’t treat illnessess, I work with clients to support their body’s proper function. Your body is beautifully designed to heal itself, and all dysfunction is caused either by too much of something (i.e., stress, food, toxic chemicals) or not enough of something (i.e., sleep, nutrients, fun). My commitment to you is that I will help you work the puzzle - where are you overloaded with something, and what is missing? I will be your guide in learning how to care for and support your body, and if there is something you need that I don’t provide, I will gladly share the deep resources I have to help you find what you need.
